This helps ensure a smoother nesting experience and better survival rates for all chicks. ◾️Current Status Despite occasional visits from intruders like Great Horned Owls or other eagles, the family is doing well. Names for the chicks are still being decided and will be announced soon. ----- The mother eagle of this nest, known as "Mom," lost sight in her right eye following a series of fierce owl attacks in the past. Despite this, she is incredibly brave, never letting her disability hold her back. Alongside her partner, "Dad," she continues to fiercely protect their new lives throughout the 2026 season. Raising eaglets with only one eye is an immense challenge, but watching her feed her young and stay vigilant against predators is truly inspiring.
