It is a line and wash painting, so the line-work is sketched in pencil first, then in waterproof fine liners. Materials: Saunders Waterford 140lb/300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper, 11" by 15"/28cms x 38cms. It is taped to my board and my board is at an angle of about 45 degrees. I used a carpenter's pencil to draw the scene, and a size Medium waterproof Faber Castell fine liner and a brush pen to ink in the line work.
