Take a sneak peek inside our factory for the making of a plug for a Rapido Trimarans R50. We use the KUKA robot to mill the identical replica of the shape of the Rapido 50 from foam. From there, the all important moulds will be made. And from there, we can begin building many, many Rapido 50s. Compared with previous methods for making the plugs, using the Kuka robot results in greater precision and accuracy, faster completion of the plugs and therefore, reduced costs.
