LENGTH MEASUREMENTS Basic Mathematics - Class 1 ✅In this video you will learn how to CONVERT LENGTH MEASUREMENT UNITS. 👉🏻The meter is the standard unit of measurement and, therefore, there are the multiples of the meter, which are kilometer (km), hectometer (hm) and decameter (dam) and the sub-multiples of the meter, being the decimeter ( dm), centimeter (cm) and millimeter (mm). To convert between measurement units, you must multiply by 10 for each "box" you skip. For example, to convert from kilometer (km) to hectometer (hm) you must multiply by 10. And, to convert measurement units from centimeter (cm) to meter (m) you must divide by 100, since you skip two "little houses". A practical way to carry out this conversion is to move the comma to the right or left, according to the conversion to be carried out.
