€This video is about the improvement of the evolution of black representation in film. Early depictions of black people in film have consisted of people of color having roles that were downgrading to the representation of black people. For many years in the entertainment industry black people have been shown as criminals, slaves, nannies, servants, black faces or just plain illiterate. However the evolution of black representation in film has taken a change for the better. We are finally starting to see change in the stereotype of how black people are good just for playing roles such as criminals, slaves, nannies etc. I chose this specific topic because I am a movie lover. And from a child I would watch movies and I didn’t like how the representation of black people in film looked, but honestly I can say it has gotten better. So when I got the opportunity to make a video I knew it would be about film. I had a great time watching this video and I have learned so much by constructing it and putting it together!! Hope you enjoy!!! €Alexander, Bryan. “Two in Three Black Americans Don't See Themselves Represented in Movies and TV, Study Says.” USA Today, Gannett Satellite Information Network, 17 Sept. 2020, www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/movies/2020/09/17/study-black-americans-no-representation-movies-tv/3476650001/. , Deutsche Welle. “What Hollywood Movies Do to Perpetuate Racial Stereotypes: DW: 21.02.2019.” DW.COM, www.dw.com/en/hollywood-movies-stereotypes-prejudice-data-analysis/a-47561660.
