XGN Talk 7th gen Honda Accord V6 frankenstein setup J35A block + J30A4 heada + J35A8 cams (5A/T) Using 100% Stock K-Line VCM ECU (non-VTEC) This is a frankenstein VTEC setup running on an ECU made for VCM (non-VTEC), so there are a lot of errors that ecu will use to throw tantrums on you and it will run in different limp modes. Assembly codes and error thresholds responsible for limp mode error checks were patched/widened for the ECU to not set P0522 P0523 P1022 P1023 P1251 P1252 errors. So now we are free of limp modes running vtec engine with vcm ecu. Had to do some firmward reverse engineerings before hands, and then did it live on dyno for the newly unexpected ones after the first batch of patches I already did. We have VTEC oil path flow confirmed by high pressure air from VTEC solenoid via block paths to the heads, but vtec was not engaging even tho the solenoid is working (engaged manually). Turns out VTEC solenoid chamber was not getting enough oil in it. The builder will find a way to bypass the oil into the chamber.
