In this video I changed settings in Skoda Octavia 2017 using Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app. It seems the cheapest tool for VW coding and long coding I am not affiliated with this app, just use it very often. For coding without limitations you need to upgrade to Car Scanner PRO (cca. 5 EUR), then coding with Car Scanner PRO is much cheaper than VCDS or OBD11. VW coding/long coding is included in Car Scanner PRO app, no extra payment for activations/coding, no extra credits required. You can start forced "service" DPF regeneration - while driving or idling - in VW Audi Seat and Skoda in MQB and PQ26 platforms (but I did not test forced DPF regen, not sure if it works). Car Scanner in full version is free for approx. 10 connections, then continues as limited free version (with ads), or you pay 5-7 EUR for lifetime PRO. Car Scanner works on iPhone and Android. Iphone requires ELM327 Bluetooth 4.0 (LE). Android version works with all good quality ELM327 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters. Avoid cheap blue ELM327 clones. (USB-cable OBD2 adapters are not supported). Car Scanner provides coding in some Toyota, Renault and Hyundai cars.
