Michael Schur is the author of How to Be Perfect: The Correct Answer To Every Moral Question and created the NBC sitcom The Good Place. He’s also worked on shows like The Office (where he had a recurring part as Dwight Schrute’s cousin Mose), The Comeback, and Hacks, and created or co-created Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, and Rutherford Falls. He joined us for “How To Be Perfect: An Evening With Michael Schur” on Monday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall inside the Scales Fine Arts Center. Leadership and Character's Director of Programming Ann Phelps moderated the discussion about character, ethics, television shows, and why none of the characters in The Good Place can swear. This community event was free and open to the public, and was presented by the Program for Leadership and Character, and is co-sponsored by the Film and Media Studies Program, the Wake Forest School of Divinity, the Department of Philosophy, and Wake The Arts.
