Peace returns to Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State as the Royal Majesties of Asaba and Oko Kingdoms reconcile after years of dispute. The reconciliation ceremony in Asaba ends nearly a decade-long conflict that began in 2016, marked by court judgments and appeals.Executive Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Council, Dr. Ezenyili Kelvin Obi led the process and describes it as a major milestone for peace and unity. He appreciates Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for granting approval to embark on the peace mission and commends both royal fathers for their maturity and cooperation.The Chairman explains that more than ₦522 million, meant for the monthly stipends of traditional rulers, was kept safely in a special account during the dispute a move he says reflects transparency and accountability in governance.
