It all began when I launched the boat for the first time this summer. I headed out on the lake for a morning of pike fishing. All was going well when we decided to move to another spot on the lake to fish. I was running the boat at 3/4 throttle when all of a sudden the outboard motor starts bogging. I shut the motor down, check the fuel and the ball. Everything seemed fine. I started to boat back up and it ran great, but only for 500 feet and bogged back down. I thought it was maybe the impeller that transfers water through the boat motor for cooling. Changed the impeller and nothing changed. After some research, I read in a forum to check the fuel line before going deep into the engine and seeing a mechanic. I changed the fuel line, fuel tank and fuel filter and my boat is running top notch again!
