January ride out, been riding all winter but this was the first time I took my camera

Join me for a cold January motorcycle ride through the stunning Northamptonshire countryside. 🏍️❄️ With temperatures sitting at around 5°C, it was a proper winter ride — cold air cutting through, visor mist trying to creep in, and heated grips not needed as my Merlin jacket was keeping my core toasty and low sun. The countryside looked peaceful and crisp, with wide open fields and quiet rural lanes stretching for miles. Road conditions, however, were a different story. Winter has not been kind to these roads — rough surfaces, potholes hiding in plain sight, and plenty of puddles scattered across the lanes. Standing water meant taking it steady on the throttle and being mindful of grip, especially through bends and shaded sections. It’s a real-world winter ride — no perfect tarmac, no summer sunshine — just honest motorcycling in typical January conditions.
