Gold Hero Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Change for Childhood Cancer in India to celebrate the heroes amongst us today who have brought about transformative change in the landscape of childhood cancer care in India bringing hope to countless families and reshaping the future of cancer treatment. Stakeholder Partner Gold Hero Award: Mr. Arvind Tiku for supporting Universal Health Coverage - For recognizing that no family should go bankrupt, lose their assets, become impoverished or go deeper into poverty when a child gets sick with cancer For supporting the treatment of 100 children with cancer at any point of time commencing 2013 For the generous support that enabled over 2100 children with cancer across India to receive lifesaving treatment from 2013 to 2024. Your support reached children in over 41 hospitals located in North, South, East and West regions across the country, fighting ALL, AML, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Retinoblastoma and Osteosarcoma. 41% of the children have completed treatment and are thriving because of you! Your support has provided hope and a chance to life for 23% of the children under treatment. Sadly 24% of the children were lost to cancer, but your contribution enabled them to get the best possible care until their last breath.
