The recipe calls for five hundred shekels of Myrrh (about one gallon), two hundred and fifty shekels of Cinnamon (about ½ gallon), two hundred and fifty shekels of Calamus (about ½ gallon), five hundred of Cassia (about one gallon), and a hin of Olive oil (about 1 1/3 gallons). This holy, precious anointing oil was to sanctify the tabernacle, the ark of the testimony, the table and all vessels, the candlestick and vessels, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering and vessels, the laver and foot. It was also used to anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them as priests. In later verses, it warns those who can make it and where it can be placed. In Exodus 30:31-33, it says: "And though shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition after it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people." For new covenant believers, those born again become holy vessels, and their body becomes the temple of God. The New Testament also describes believers as a royal priesthood, and as priests unto God, you are able to use this oil recipe on yourself and other believers. I Peter 2:5 says, "Ye also, as lively stones, are built as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ." Therefore, all believers who live a life of holiness are sanctified and can use this recipe for anointing. The following recipe will reduce the proportions of these biblical essential oils and make it in a smaller variation of the Exodus 30 formula. What You Will Need: 24 drops Myrrh essential oil 12 drops Cinnamon essential oil 12 drops Calamus essential oil (or substitute Lemongrass or CBD oil) 24 drops Cassia essential oil 32 drops Extra Virgin Olive Oil Glass Bowl (new, unused) Glass Bottle (new, unused) What To Do: 1. In a clean, unused bowl, add each essential oil, counting out each drop. 2. Now, add the olive oil to the essential oils. Stir to blend. 3. Using a pipette or funnel, carefully pour the blend into the clean, unused glass bottle. Shake to blend and safely store until use. 4.
