This song is old enough that no one is really sure how old it is. I have also seen it called The Gray Silkie of Suleskerry (or Sule Skerry) and I've seen silkie spelled "selkie" as often as not. Other than the fact that I pronounced "comely" wrong in this recording, I adore this song. Love love love it. Hope you do to!
