Those who care will find two different things to read here. First a couple of words about the video and secondly, a written résumé about my time with the Multistrada Enduro! *** THIS VIDEO: I didn't have this "1 DAY 1 BIKE" format in mind when I was riding around on the Multi. My only intention was to record decent RAW videos for you guys. I guess I did and there are several ones to come here later this year. It actually was an accident I had my microphone still plugged into my camera and installed inside my helmet from recording the BMW GS vlog the day before. It's why I have these "vlog bits" made during the day before I went for the 'actual vlogging tryout' near the end of it. I have the selfie stick clips because I always record them for a potential season best-of video which I usually like to edit together at some point. Back at home I didn't know what to do with it though. I went through the 'earlier vlogging bits' and thought they were too entertaining to throw them away. Then I realized I could combine everything I had into one big video. Of course it's not ideal because I didn't intend to do this in the first place. But I'd like to try it again with other bikes next year. I then will add shots of the parked bike taken with bigger cameras rather showing the significant details of the bike. And of course cut down length in half probably. But I think documenting a whole day on a bike while using motovlogging, selfie stick, RAW bits, and bike porn shots techniques could be a lot more exciting to watch than a video out of one obvious category - what do you think? *** THE BIKE: To make this very clear since I'm afraid I didn't manage to do so while vlogging: I absolutely loved riding the Multistrada. I had more fun riding the Multi than the BMW. But at the same time I stick to my words from the video saying that the BMW is the better bike. I think the BMW GS is superior from a technological point of view. Its suspension is more sovereign. It's more stable. Its engine and gear box are brilliant. Smooth and so easy to operate. But the Multistrada is pouring on the Italian charm. It invites you to have a little MORE fun, maybe even this kind of fun you only find on the wild side of things. I said the Multi's got better agility and that's very important to me too. The additional power is not that important to me but still I learned that if there is this much power available I will also use it in the end. And yes, I absolutely loved this mindblowing power output. And yes, even I have to admit it's quite beautiful. At least when compared to the other big travel enduros. To sum it all up: The Ducati Multistrada got me on the emotional side of things. Which is a very big and important one when it comes to my bikelife. Admittedly being in Alto Adige, my happy place, played a huge role too. But compared to the fun I had on both days I'd simply have to go for the Ducati. Because I had more of MY KIND OF FUN with it. Should I ever get to a point in my life where I can afford such things and had to choose between those two I'd take the Multi. I'm fairly confident I'd end up getting angry with it very often but - even because of that - the times in which I'm enjoying it would be 3 times more intense :) ---- Did you appreciate the subtitles?
