In this tutorial, let us learn How To Apply Filter and Highlight Some Activities In Primavera P6 So, here we need to create 2 filters and may be 1 more. Ok, let us see how to do that in primavera now. This is my sample schedule, whose data date on 05th Jun’20. First, let us create a 2 week look ahead schedule filter. Click on Filter icon, Click on New Name it as 2 wks look ahead Keeping the condition as All of the following under parameter Type activity status is not equal to completed Click on Add button, Select any of the following, click Add again And give the condition as Start is within range of DD and high value as DD+14D Click Add and give one more condition as Finish is within range of DD and DD+14D. Click OK. So this is our 2 week look ahead filter . Now, let us create one more filter called as Finish in 1 week And give condition as Finish within range of DD and DD+7D. Click OK. Now, select these both newly added filters and carefully observe that we have got the option of highlighting the filtered activities in the filters dialog box, select this 2nd option and click ok. You can see that the activities finishing in 1 week will be highlighted like this in blue color. But the drawback is that we can’t print as PDF with this highlighting. So, the solution is that we will be modifying the bars so as to color code those activities finishing in 1 week. To do so, we need to create one more filter called as Finish not in 1 week And give condition as Finish not within range of DD and DD+7D, click ok. Now, let us perform for the final output 1. Remove all filters and select 2 weeks look ahead and finish in 1 week filters. Remember to select the option of “Show activities that match” “any selected filters” and click ok. 2. Now, go to gantt chart, right click and select Bars 3. Click on Add to add a new bar 4. Under name, give it a name as Finish in 1 wk, select timescale as current bar, under filter select our Finish in 1wk filter, go to bottom section and select the bar color as orange. 5. Click Add again and give name as Finish not in 1wk, select timescale as remain bar, under filter select our Finish not in 1wk filter and select the bar color as green 6. And finally unselect the Remaining work bar here and 7. Click Ok. Now, you can see clearly with the highlighting in orange color in the gantt chart for all those activities which are getting finished in 1 weeks’ time. If you want to have for milestones as well, you need to adjust similarly in the bars formatting section.
