In this video I'm demoing the progress I've made on a Linux virtual workstation solution for XR glasses (Breezy Desktop). You'll see a working XR virtual display -- single-screen only for this demo -- that can handle any task your PC can typically handle. When this launches, it will support at least one primary physical display and one virtual display at the glasses' native resolution (typically 1920x1080). In the future, I plan to support multiple physical displays and multiple virtual displays (or one large curved display). My previous work includes the XR Gaming plugin on Steam Deck, which provides 3DoF and other XR features for supported XR glasses on Steam Deck, or any modern Linux device. If you want to help support this effort, please consider donating to me via my Ko-fi page linked below. I'll post another video announcing generally availability of Breezy Desktop, so if you want to know when it's ready you can either subscribe to my channel here, or follow me on any of these platforms: Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/wheaney Reddit: / watercanhydrate Discord: / discord Github: https://github.com/wheaney If you're curious about the glasses, these are the currently supported models: [Recommended] VITURE One XR (Lite model not supported yet) glasses: https://www.viture.com/store -- uses an official VITURE Linux SDK, so the experience is top-notch XREAL Air 1/2/Pro glasses: https://www.xreal.com/air/ -- XREAL doesn't provide a Linux SDK, this uses the open source version, and the experience is sub-par If you're interested in knowing more about gaming on Steam Deck or Linux: Steam Deck plugin documentation: https://github.com/wheaney/decky-XRGa...
