No fewer than 10,000 vulnerable households across the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa State are set to benefit from food and cash donations to cushion the effects of rising inflation during Ramadan. The intervention, sponsored by philanthropists, includes thousands of bags of rice, sugar and other essential items distributed to elderly persons and low-income families across religious lines. The gesture targeted elderly persons, low-income families and other vulnerable groups across the state, regardless of religious or ethnic background.
