If you've been navigating overwhelm or frustration, and your body still feels unsettled, this practice is for you. In this video, I guide you through a somatic art process integrating movement and sensation through continuous line drawing, helping your nervous system settle and integrate rather than expression. We begin with mark-making that doesn’t require language or meaning called Asemic Writing, introduce gentle structure using the continuous line drawing (organic Neurographic Lines) to regulate, coloring, movement and somatic awareness to integrate and complete unfinished loops in a way that helps your body and Nervous system recognize safety. There’s nothing to analyze. Nothing to interpret. Just an invitation to let your hand lead and allow your body and nervous system to settle without needing to re-engage with your story. You’re welcome to draw along, or simply watch and rest. What This Practice Supports:- Overwhelm that feels hard to resolve- Frustration or anger that’s already moved but hasn’t fully settled- Nervous system regulation through movement, structure, and completion- A gentler alternative to emotional catharsis Drawing Flow: 0:00 – Orientation 0:48– Nonverbal mark-making (Asemic Writing) 1:49 – Introducing structure with continuous line drawing (Neurographic Lines) 2:27 - Smoothing and Harmonizing the image 4:21 - Restoring agency through color 5:11 - Marking Emotional Completion 5:30 – Integrating with Color 7:57 – Final Completion & reveal Continue the Conversation If you’d like to read more about this way of working, I’ve shared a reflection on the blog that explores how somatic art supports nervous system regulation. 📖 Read more here: www.luminoussoulart.com/blog/somatic-art-and-nervous-system-regulation You can also explore other somatic art practices here on the channel, or leave a topic request in the comments.
