15-year-old with prior felonies accused of U-District hit-and-run, faces up to 8 years

A 15-year-old suspect is facing possible charges after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle into three pedestrians in the University District Friday afternoon, leaving them seriously injured. Prosecutors revealed in court the teen was also seen attempting to run people over in the area about 30 minutes before Friday's hit-and-run incident. According to a hospital spokesperson, one of the pedestrians seriously injured, a 21-year-old man, remains in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center, while the remaining two victims, a 20-year-old woman and another 21-year-old man, are in satisfactory condition. Court records indicate the suspect has prior convictions for five felonies and one gross misdemeanor. According to the Department of Child, Youth and Families (DCYF), a warrant was issued for the teen's arrest on Feb. 11 when he failed to report to his parole officer.
