We’re proud to launch the A-CBT Blog Author Spotlight Series, a new initiative designed to showcase the exceptional talent within the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and to promote the practice of high-fidelity, evidence-based CBT. In this inaugural episode, Dr. Janeé Steele, a diplomate of the Academy, shares insights from her powerful new article on adapting CBT to better meet the needs of diverse communities. She is joined by Dr. Christine Padesky, co-author of Mind Over Mood—a seminal text and enduring benchmark in CBT practice and training worldwide. Together, they discuss how cultural responsiveness and rigorous clinical training intersect to strengthen our field. The conversation is hosted by Dr. Katy Manetta, the Academy’s new Blog Editor, who will be interviewing featured authors each month to spotlight their work, ideas, and contributions to the advancement of CBT. The goal of this series is twofold—to highlight the expertise of our members and to disseminate accurate information about CBT at a time when many clinicians identify as CBT practitioners without delivering the model as it was designed. Watch the full conversation and join us in celebrating the Academy’s commitment to excellence, authenticity, and ongoing growth in CBT practice.
