The Forebear

The Forebear is produced from a single one acre vineyard established in the early 1850s, planted by the first generation of European settlers. They are Torbreck’s oldest vines. Located at the Hillside vineyard near Lyndoch, these very old and gnarly vines benefit from the cooler evening breezes that flow through the southern end of the Barossa Valley, producing an elegant style of shiraz, renowned for its lifted floral notes and red fruit flavours intertwined with subtle rounded tannins.
