In the Spring of 1984, Will Byers continues living a normal life in Hawkins, Indiana with his friends Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson. But when Dustin begins failing English and it begins to effect the party, the party calls upon the help of Joey Kim, a young and enthusiastic filmmaker to create a student movie for extra credit. However thing then take a spin when Joey wants to make a zombie-film based on Will's experience in The Upside Down! While working on the film, the party begins suffer some problems of their own. Dustin begins having regrets over failing English, Lucas begins to feel discriminated by bullies, and Mike continues to suffer heartbreak after loosing Eleven to The Demogorgon many months ago! As for Will, he tries to repress his memories of the Upside Down, however he drags the party as well as the film down in the process.
