In this week’s People and Places of North Mayo video we meet with Martina Burke from the North Mayo Heritage Centre. Located on the Enniscoe Estate on the grounds of the beautiful Enniscoe House, between Crossmolina and Lahardane in Co. Mayo the North Mayo Heritage Centre is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the region. Martina tells us all about the visit of US President Joe Biden and the Presidential connection to the centre. North Mayo Heritage Centre provides genealogical research for the North Mayo diaspora with access to over 1.2 million records. It offers spectacular loop walks, ornamental gardens, a certified organic vegetable garden, as well as the newly re-opened café onsite Orchard Café - North Mayo Heritage Centre has something for everyone. The North Mayo Heritage Centre provides an annual cultural programme of events, workshops and exhibitions along with tours and an educational programme.
