Restoration of a vintage 1950 New Hudson Autocycle by Jim in 6 months. Vintage Motorcycle Spotlight

In this episode we interview Jim from Manitoba Canada and his beautiful 1950 New Hudson Autocycle he restored from a pile of parts. Jim approached me last february hoping to recreate is first bike he rode when he was 14 . Jim is 74 this year so that was 60 years ago! I have an original paint New hudson and had rebuilt another years ago so i wasnt planning on doing another but had collected numerous frame motors and parts. Jim took the best of pieces and recreated his childhood motorcycle. Powered by a 98cc Villiers single speed motor Jim restored all the components himself except the pin striping on the tank. He had to source numerous parts and what he couldn't find he built himself and cast some hard to find parts . The bike is stunning and runs very well. I'm happy to see the pieces i had saved over the last 25 years turned into what Jim restored in the video.
