Every crime scene tells a story, but not every clue is seen. In this talk, Chiamaka Femi-Adeyinka asks a bold question: What if technology could give investigators a new set of eyes? She introduces her research on smart glasses driven by artificial intelligence, showing how they can highlight hidden objects, create digital records, and prevent crucial evidence from being overlooked. Blending science, storytelling, and human curiosity, Femi-Adeyinka reveals how innovation can turn silence into evidence and fragments into stories. Her talk challenges audiences to see investigations not just as evidence collection, but as a new partnership between human insight and technological possibility. Chiamaka Femi-Adeyinka is a Digital Forensics Investigator and Ph.D. Candidate in Digital and Cyber Forensics Science at Sam Houston State University, where her research explores the intersection of wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, and forensic investigation. With more than six years of experience in digital forensics and incident response, she has analyzed complex evidence and uncovered hidden truths using industry-leading tools. Her innovative projects include developing smart-glasses object detection systems for crime scenes, and integrating AI into investigative workflows. Femi-Adeyinka also serves as a course instructor and mentor in international cybersecurity programs, and she actively advocates for women in technology through initiatives such as ITU HerCyberTracks, Women in Cybersecurity, and Women4Cyber. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
