3 days and 2 nights on the infamous Kalalau Trail with Kyra (Setty) and Ryan (Ron Burgundy). This trip was hard. Hot, muddy, rainy, and lots of vert. But the reward? Some incredible views along the Napali coast and one of the best campsites you could ever ask for. Day-by-day: Day 1: Ke’e Beach to Kalalau Beach (00:29 to 09:24) Day 2: Kalalau Valley (09:24 to 14:17) Day 3: Kalalau Beach to Ke’e Beach (14:17 to 23:08) Logistics/Tips: Permits needed to enter Ha’ena State Park and to hike to Kalalau Beach. Permits available 90 days in advance. Parking available at the trailhead, need to reserve ahead of time through the same website. Don’t leave luggage in your vehicle at this parking lot! We heard from locals that there are frequent break ins at this parking lot. Shuttle service also available from a few parking lots and shops between Hanalei and Ha’ena State Park. You can also book the shuttle through the go haena website - make sure to check that overnight parking is included. Overnight camping available at Camp Naue YMCA if desired.
