In this video, I build a Walnut sliding dovetail top keepsake box. When closed, the box reveals warm ambient light with battery operated flameless candles through precision-cut angled slots on the sides, creating a unique accent lamp. Project Overview: Before working with expensive walnut, I built a prototype from 2x4 lumber to test the design and light effect. Once I perfected the concept, I built the final version from a single block of walnut.
