Dorico Hybrid Scoring - Layering Sounds in Halion Sonic

Hybrid scoring is often bringing together layered sounds. Most often, we are layering synths with sampled instruments. But, the objective is to create larger-than-life sounds and textures, so that our tracks sound modern and powerful. In this video, I'll share how I use Halion Sonic to achieve this layering in Dorico. I discounted HS and HSSE as a non-pro tool for a long time, but I'm regretting doing that now because it's actually a great sound design tool. I didn't know that, but I'm learning. If you have Cubase, Dorico or Absolute then you'll have some version of Halion Sonic. This demo would apply to all of them. So, let's get started!
