Why did it take me so long to review one of my favorite scotch distillers? Hard to say. Maybe I figured I couldn't do them justice. It took getting a bottle of the Cask Strength Batch 8 to finally get me off my bum. What I learned after tasting 12, 15 and the CS B8 together is that there is a really solid whisky here that should not be overlooked. Find out which one by watching the video. GLENDRONACH 12 SINGLE MALT SCOTCH 43% ABV Nose with cherry, raisins, plum, blood orange, and vermouth. A juicy palate with raspberry and other red fruits and sultanas. The finish with pear, dark fruits and a hint of bitter tannins. GLENDRONACH 15 SINGLE MALT SCOTCH 46% ABV Nose has a bit more oak and balance. A bit of apple and sultanas. Palate has walnuts, dark fruits, apple, raisin, and clove. Finish with dates, toffee and clove. GLENDRONACH CASK STRENGTH BATCH 8 SINGLE MALT (10 Year Old) 61% ABV Nose of baking cinnamon and fruit. Palate is oak, sour tannins, plum, and lots of heat.
