The Daylesford Spa Country Railway specialises in operating restored rail motors of the Victorian Railways. This video features footage of restored 280hp Walker Rail Motor 91RM operating between Daylesford and Bullarto in Victoria's central highlands during January 2017 These single car or articulated vehicles formed the backbone of branch line and remote services in the state of Victoria, Australia through most of the 20th century. Their successful operation over many years in Victoria has lead to the development of the modern day Sprinter and Vlocity railcars. 280hp Walker rail motor 91RM was built by Martin and King in Somerton, Victoria in the early 1950's. The power unit was imported from Walker Bros of Wigan England. For more information about the Daylesford Spa Country Railway, please visit http://www.dscr.com.au © 2017 James Brook
