Original Video: N/A Disclaimer: Please don't watch this video if you are epileptic or sensitive to flashing lights! I finally got my edited version of Blakmaparada to sound (mostly) the way I want it to sound, so I made this video to showcase it! The original soundfont appeared to be an edited/incomplete GM compatible soundfont with multiple instruments, but I was mainly focused on the acoustic grand piano instrument from that soundfont. It's a combination of two different pianos, the first (likely) being from the Roland SC-55 and the second being of unknown origins. I'm not sure what the second piano is based on - maybe some 1990s Yamaha synthesizer if I had to guess? For my edited version of Blakmaparada I deleted everything but the "Grand Piano 2" instrument and its samples, and I remade the "Grand Piano" instrument with new samples. Almost all of the new samples were taken from michael64's GM DLS Remastered v2.1 soundfont, but there's an additional sample called "SC-55 - 0" from SC-55 Soundfont v1.3b, a hotfix of Trevor0402's/Triaxis's SC-55 Soundfont by EmperorGrieferus. The tuning for "SC-55 - 0" was adjusted to sound more like similar-sounding samples in the original Blakmaparada soundfont (this only applies to Blakmaparada v2.1, which is no longer available, and Blakmaparada v2.2 - Blakmaparada v2 has no tuning adjustments made to any of the samples). Not all of the original parameters were used when remaking the "Grand Piano" instrument. I tried to get the attenuation for the "Grand Piano" instrument as close as possible (I ended up using more attenuation for both instruments in the preset), but I changed the release time for both instruments to 1 second. I also changed some of the hold and decay times for the "Grand Piano" instrument. Is this the greatest soundfont ever? Absolutely not. But it's very small and has a decent sound for its size. Plus, my edited version should have a slightly more clear sound than the original thanks to the new samples. As always, feel free to make your own changes if you want! Otherwise, enjoy the soundfont as is!
