FLASH IN JAPAN —SLOW VERSION— (INSTRUMENTAL) [33:12] Opening Theme (02) & Closing Theme (01): Vocals: Eikichi Yazawa Arranged by: James Newton Howard BGM by Masamichi Amano Audio from the CD version ripped by me, scans are from the LP copy by me & restored by anisonfan Original soundtrack to a Japanese-American-Italian co-production documentary focused on F1 racers who dedicated their lives to F1 Grand Prix... per the VGMdb entry. I discovered this when going through Masamichi Amano's discography many years ago—I couldn't find any samples of the BGM online and the idea of Amano doing a soundtrack for a racing movie REALLY caught my interest, so I bought it thinking it'd be as good as his other 80s works. Unfortunately... it's whatever. The tracks aren't bad, but easily far from his best—they pale in comparison to other stuff he did throughout the 80s. Doesn't help either that these tracks have racing SFX & drama bits in them... 💀 I've not yet seen the movie so I can't say if there is unreleased BGM or not. If I really had to choose two tracks I liked, it'd be 03 & 07. Anyways, enjoy...?
