Buunni Coffee Co-founders Sarina & Elias' Journey Back to Ethiopia

Buunni Coffee is a community-driven specialty coffee brand dedicated to serving high-quality, ethically sourced coffee beans from around the world. In July 2025, we traveled to Ethiopia to explore the potential of bringing a portion of Buunni’s coffee back to its origins. Ethiopia, renowned as the birthplace of coffee, offers a unique coffee culture that emphasizes celebration and community over haste. Even in the event of a sudden disappearance of the commercial aspect of coffee, Ethiopian coffee would undoubtedly continue to thrive. During the visit, we visited coffee farms, cooperatives, and regions such as Jimma, Limu, Bonga, Keffa, Sidama, and Yirgacheffe. This immersive experience provided us with invaluable insights into the coffee ecosystem and culture. As a result, we are delighted to invite you to join us on this journey, as we will highlight each of the visited locations in the upcoming months. This is the first video in our series.
