Sadie Sin of Clovis Girls Basketball on Sweeping Central East, Securing Clovis West Finals Rematch

Sadie Sin, a Long Beach State-bound senior guard at Clovis High in California, scored a game-high 28 points for the top-seeded Cougars in a 55-43 girls basketball victory against No. 4 Central East High of California in the semifinals of the CIF-Central Section Division 1 playoffs. Sin, who surpassed 2,000 career points Feb. 18 in a 67-31 quarterfinal triumph against No. 9 Redwood of Visalia, helped Clovis return to the Division 1 final and advance to the section championship for the fifth time in the past six years. Sin made 12 of 14 free-throw attempts against Central East to help Clovis sweep three games this season against the Bengals. The Cougars will compete Feb. 28 in the Division 1 section final at Selland Arena in Fresno against No. 2 Clovis West, which has won the past 13 section titles in the top division. Clovis West produced a 53-44 overtime triumph in last year's final against Clovis, which is seeking its first section championship since 1993.
