George Kandylakis brought his brand new and absolutely stunning electric powered Avro 504N to the 2023 International Indoor Fly In and over the course of the weekend managed to get it trimmed well enough to get a decent qualifying flight. Looking at the detail on the model it is no surprise that this model got the highest static score of the whole event. When he gets the trim completely sorted it will be a very difficult model to beat! In case you are wondering why George has his radio transmitter around his neck, the Avro has R/C gear fitted to help with trimming, but the flight is made hands-off. The transmitter was only to be used in an emergency to prevent damage to the model in case it headed for the wall, at which point the flight would be invalidated and no points scored.
