I finally started feeling comfortable flying my Freewing FA-18… and that’s when the real challenge showed up — the landing. On approach I dropped the flaps and the jet slowed more than expected. When I brought them back up it stalled and touched down hard. The runway bumps finished the job and snapped the nose gear strut. No crashes, no panic — just another lesson in learning how this jet really wants to be flown. Jets fly easy. Landing them is the skill.
