Contrary to popular belief, the narrative that Black men are failing and therefore Black women cannot find suitable husbands is not supported by the data. When you examine the actual statistics across education, marriage, income, business ownership, incarceration, and family structure, the reality is far more balanced—and in many areas, Black men are outperforming or matching their female counterparts The data shows that the issue is not a lack of suitable Black men, but widespread misinformation about the actual outcomes and trajectories of Black men in modern America. The data doesn’t lie. The narrative does. Reference links: U.S. Census Bureau. (2012–2022). Educational attainment in the United States: 2012–2022.
