For this, two robotic machines have been brought to SMS Hospital at a cost of Rs 50 crore and now surgery will be done soon through them. These robots are equipped with the most advanced technology. It has the facility of video recording. Also, they have UPS with the battery backup of up to two hours and arms that move at different angles. Apart from this, they are equipped with magnifying lenses through which doctors can see the internal organs of the patient at a micro level during surgery. With these, the smallest surgery can be done through the least incision. After Tamil Nadu, SMS Hospital is going to become the second hospital in the country where robotic machines will be used in surgery.
