Orthodox Jews use something called a Mikvah as a method of purity. The mikvah is a specially constructed ritual pool connected to a source of pure rainwater. Before jewish people use their dishes we must give it an extra level of holiness, which is done by immersing the items into the mikvah. The procedure is known as Toiveling. Items which must be immersed are metal or glass which will be touching or used for food preparation or eating. Any item made from metal or glass, (some do ceramic, some do not) including dishes, glasses, containers, metal attachments to kitchen items like food processor and blenders, all must be dipped prior to use. There can be no stickers or residue left on the items, and it must be fully submerged. All jewish communities have at least one mikvah. In highly populated jewish areas they will have many mikvas available, even in grocery stores! #jewish #orthodoxjew #jewishlife #mikvah#mikva #keylimmikva #jewishpeople #kosher #kosherlife #jewsofyoutube#toddlerlife
