Freestyle Poomsae World Champion Eric Gun

A combination of semi and final round of Eric Gun's freestyle poomsae performance at the 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships. Along with BTS reactions and flag ceremony after winning the division. It's been approximately 2 years since Eric began his freestyle journey. Spending most of his years training sparring and mainly recognized poomsae, Eric faced improbable odds going into the freestyle division. Within his group was his own coach, role model, and big brother Yun Kyu Sung (윤규성) along with favored veterans such as William Arroyo and others with so many more years of experience. Admittedly, Eric had no idea what to expect on the world stage. Finishing the semi final round as the top seed, Eric was authentically surprised at his own score. Which only encouraged his confidence, ultimately leading to his triumph. Eric Gun has become the first athlete to ever medal in the +17 Men's Freestyle division for Team USA, let alone the whole Pan American region. And he did it in style by winning gold. He never fails to express his gratitude to his coaches, teammates, and family. You can see and feel the love within his own family members. His father, Gi Duk Gun, who's also his coach and part of Team USA's Coaching staff. His youngest brother Emmett Gun cheering his lungs out with his second brother Ethan.
