Tyres which is better? The Michelin PS4S or Continental SportContact 7, lets find out!

In this video I talk about the general go to tyre for all motoring enthusiast the Michelin PS4S which has been my go to tyre for several years now on my sports and supercars. However I decided to go against even my own recommendations and give the much newer Continental ContactSport 7 a go on my Cayman R which was previously running Michelin SuperSports and my 987.2 Boxster Spyder was running Michelin PS4S. I also have Michelin PS4S on my Audi R8 and have ran it on other cars such as my Ford Mustang, Ferrari 458, Porsche 911 GT3, Jaguar F-Type SVR, GR Yaris etc. As such I have taken the gamble by not going with the internets favourite tyre, the PS4S and took the gamble with the Continental ContactSport 7, in this video I compare the two directly and my early first impressions are the King is dead, Long live the new King, the Continental SportContact 7 is simply better in every performance metric and far superior in subjective feel, the steering feel and communication are just next level with the newer Continental SportContact 7 tire. So when your PS4S are due for replacement I highly recommend giving the SC7 a try. Once I have done around 5000 miles in the Cayman R I shall do a part 2 to discuss longevity of the SportContact 7 as the Michelin PS4S was great for longevity and no performance drop off so it shall be interesting to see how the SportContact 7 compares once I get the miles piled on and if it can last and perform over time, so tune back in for part 2 in 6-12 months time.
