In this video I make a Katana-like two-handed padded sword. Although the design is curved, the same principles can be applied to any Dahoga sword. So, these are the materials I used: High pressure blue plumbing PVC (bought at Plumbing warehouses) Hollow pool noodle (bought at Westpacks/pool shops/Pick n' Pay Hypers) Duck Tape (bought at Westpacks and Hardware stores) ET Cutter/craft knife and scissors (bought at Hardware and Stationary stores) Contact Adhesive (from Hardware or Leather stores) Small square of 1cm thick high density foam, or camping mat foam (bought from Takealot.com, camping and sports shops will rip you off!) Off cut of fake leather/vinyl (fake leather/vinyl bought at Material shops) Heat gun, for drying contact adhesive and bending PVC Measurements to take note of for tip striking safety: Small square of camping mat glued around tip of PVC. 4cm of pool noodle must continue past the tip for the "blade." Additional 1/4 square cutting of of pool noodle at the tip 1/8 strip of pool noodle along "blade's" striking edge and over the tip. I hope you enjoyed the video.
