Pyramid lake fly fishing in late March 2023

We went on a late March adventure to Pyramid lake. We took Reagan and Tessas Winnebago Solis camper van with a Bean trailer behind it. There was a significant temp drop the two days we fished. The action was slow for pretty much everyone we saw from the ladders but there was a group of guys out on float tubes that were consistently hooking up. I met a guy named Tony Overstake who was one of the guys out on the tubes. They were all using his custom fly rods that he makes and sells on his website www.truewestrods.com. They landed more fish than all the ladder guys combined. I ended up spending most of my time out on my float tube after watching them constantly catching fish. It was cold and the fishing was slow but we got into some fish and had a good time.
