I had an incredible opportunity to be in India for six months and make these weekend visits. Not included is Jaipur which I saw during my first visit to India. My recommendations for a first time India traveler are Udaipur, Jaiselmer, Tapovan (Rishikesh), and Ladakh. Agra is a must-do day trip. Touring the "Golden Triangle" (Delhi-Jaipur-Agra) is the standard route, but I encourage to go beyond it first.
