Hello friends welcome to my YouTube channel. Lucerne, a compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River's right bank. Lucerne is a beautiful Swiss city that sits at the foot of the Alps and offers interesting day trips to the mountain. With one day in Lucerne, you can explore the city or go on the popular Golden Round Trip to Mount Pilatus and enjoy spectacular views of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. Cable cars and cogwheel train take you to the top where you can go hiking, ride toboggan or take rope courses. The trip starts at Lucerne main train station, where you take bus line 1 for a short 12 minute bus ride to Kriens. You get off at Kriens Zentrum Pilatus and walk for 8-10 min to the station of Panorama Gondolas, that will take you to Fräkmüntegg. On Fräkmüntegg, there's plenty to discover with the toboggan ride or rope courses. Then you take the "Dragon Ride" aerial cableway to the top of Mount Pilatus at 2132 m. above sea level. Here you can go hiking and even book a hotel for overnight stay. On your return trip, you descend by the world's steepest cogwheel railway with scenic views of alpine meadows. Finally, at Alpnachstad you get on an hour relaxing ferry ride back to Lucerne main station. You can also do the same trip in the reverse direction.
