Speaker: Juliane Reinecke (Oxford) Management scholars are increasingly asked to engage with complex societal challenges such as climate change, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, often exceeding the analytical capacity of any single discipline and call for integrative approaches that combine diverse theories, methods, and forms of expertise. This webinar will explore why interdisciplinarity has become central to theory development in “transformational times” and what it takes for such work to genuinely advance management theory. We will show how interdisciplinary engagement can open up new ways of theorizing organizational action, without losing sight of the distinct contribution of management scholarship.
