This is the third video in a series of videos I will do to share with you the basics of a home or office Fire and Water protection system for your sensitive documents or most important items. This is the second line of defense against protecting your sensitive materials from Fire and Water damage after first placing them in a fire-resistant pouch. It is part of a comprehensive plan that “nests” or places a number of containers within other more robust containers. In this case, each container is a Fire and Water resistant safe. This is the second level of protection, meant to have your items placed inside of it after first placing them in a fire-resistant bag. This medium-sized chest is larger than the small chest but is still quite manageable in size and weight for most people. I think these make great pistol cases, although be warned you will have a hard time fitting a fire-resistant bag in here as it still isn’t quite large enough. That being said, the protection this medium chest offers can be sufficient by itself to give you peace of mind and legitimate protection. My goal is to have a large safe to place these smaller chests inside of, providing three layers of protection when combined with the fire-resistant bag.
