Melbourne’s former Hitachi Trains first run in Preservation! Mornington Railways 1946T + Pink T334

In this Video we head south to Moorooduc which is the home of the Mornington Tourist Railway. On the 15th of March 2026 their Hitachi Trailer Car 1946T completed its inaugural day for passengers on the railway. This trailer car marks the first Hitachi carriage to operate in preservation but it is only put in between other carriages where as 707 operations full Hitachi Set expected to be ready to operate under its own power by the end of 2026 TBC. On top of all this, T334 was back running in Pink like its Ozride days, but obviously going off the way it looks it will continue getting work done on its paint after originally being pink for the pink train in 2025.
