A fantastic 8-mile winter adventure through the stunning Welsh hills, packed with snow, ice, panoramic mountain views, and fascinating local history. In this episode, I take on a challenging ascent that truly lived up to its name, This Winter Hike in Wales Was Brutal but Beautiful, as icy trails and frozen paths tested every step before rewarding us with unforgettable views. We trek to the summit of Cyrn Y Brain and Sir Watkins Tower, surrounded by snow-capped peaks bathed in glorious sunshine. From the top, we can see Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Moel Famau, Moel Y Gamelin, Craig Y Forwyn, and many other breathtaking landmarks across the Welsh landscape. Cyrn Y Brain is not only a dramatic summit but also an ancient Bronze Age burial cairn, now home to a satellite communications tower.
